What are Supplementary Planning Documents?

Supplementary planning documents (SPDs) build upon and provide additional guidance to help in the interpretation of our Core Strategy policies. They can be based on particular topics or relate to particular strategic sites.

Gaydon/Lighthorne Heath Masterplan SPD (adopted July 2016)
Long Marston Airfield Masterplan SPD (adopted February 2018)
Wellesbourne Innovation Campus Masterplan SPD (adopted July 2023)

Stratford-upon-Avon Gateway Masterplan Framework SPD

The intended timetable for the preparation of the remaining SPDs is set out in our Local Development Scheme.

Older supplementary documents can be found on our planning guidance page. Some of these documents are partly superseded by relevant sections of the Development Requirements SPD.
