Joint Business Charter

Stratford-on-Avon District Council and Warwick District Council have adopted a Joint Business Charter.

Local Industrial and Economic Strategy

The Council adopted the Stratford-on-Avon District Local Industrial and Economic Development Strategy 2018-2031 on Monday 17 December 2018. This is the first Industrial and Economic Development Strategy to be adopted by the District Council. It seeks to increase productivity across Stratford-on-Avon District and includes an Action Plan setting out what interventions we and our partners should make to achieve indigenous business growth, retention and new inward investment.

In December 2019 the Council published its first annual update to the Action Plan and agreed to review the action plan on a bi-annual basis.

An update of actions undertaken in relation to the Action Plan was published in June 2020.

Stratford District Council's Business, Enterprise & Tourism Team (contact via enterprise@stratford-dc.gov.uk) can offer advice and support to your business. They also publish a regular Business Matters newsletter.

The Council also owns and manages Venture House, which provides offers free on-site business support, free on-site parking, flexible hot desking/co-working space, serviced offices and meeting facilities to accommodate a range of business needs.

The Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership is run for businesses by businesses and seeks to promote economic prosperity. It has published a Strategic Economic Plan (SEP).

Warwickshire Economics is part of the Economy and Skills group of Warwickshire County Council. This unit provides intelligence and advice on the Warwickshire economy for councillors and managers, and can undertake work on behalf of partner organisations and external clients.

The Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce is a network to support local companies and provide a voice for the local business community.

The Coventry & Warwickshire Growth Hub provides impartial advice and support to new and growing businesses in the region.

Invest in Warwickshire provides access to an extensive network of skills, knowledge and assistance for businesses looking to relocate or expand within the county of Warwickshire.

West Midlands Region

The West Midlands Combined Authority works collaboratively with local authorities and local enterprise partnerships to pursue improved productivity, skills and economic growth across the West Midlands region.

The West Midlands Growth Company is the investment promotion and economic development agency of the West Midlands Combined Authority, and aims to build a region which attracts investment and grows the economy through partnership across all sectors.
