Napton-on-the-Hill Neighbourhood Plan has now been 'made'
Stratford-on-Avon District Council resolved that the Napton-on-the-Hill Neighbourhood Plan was 'made' on 12th July 2021. It is now formally part of the District Council's development plan and will be used to assist in making decisions on planning applications within the area.

'Yes' vote at referendum
On Thursday 6 May 2021, voters in Napton on the Hill voted ‘yes' to the Neighbourhood Plan.
- 78.3% (458 people) of those voting said ‘Yes'
- 21.7% (127 people) of those voting said ‘No'
- The turnout was 57.4%.
Plan to proceed to referendum
The Council has accepted the examiner's recommended modifications on the Napton-on-the-Hill Neighbourhood Plan and issued the decision that the plan should proceed to referendum.
The Napton-on-the-Hill Neighbourhood Plan was independently examined between May and November 2020. The District Council received the Examiner's report on 16 November 2020. The Examiner's report recommended that, subject to some proposed modifications, the plan should proceed to referendum. The District Council agreed with the Examiner's report and has endorsed the Plan to proceed to a referendum to be held on Thursday 6 May 2021.
The polling station will be at The Village Hall, The Crescent, Napton-on-the-Hill, CV47 8LS.
The question on the ballot paper will be as follows:
“Do you want Stratford-on-Avon District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Napton-on-the-Hill to help decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"

In accordance with paragraph 18 of The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended), The Local Planning Authority must now consider what action to take in response to the recommendations of the Examiner and decide what modifications, if any, are to be made to the Plan in order for it to proceed to referendum.

Examination
Following completion of the Regulation 16 (Formal Submission) consultation in February this year, the Napton-on-the-Hill Neighbourhood Plan has now been sent for examination by an independent examiner.
Formal Submission Consultation
Napton-on-the-Hill Parish Council as the qualifying body have prepared a neighbourhood development plan for the Parish with the help of the local community. The Plan sets out a vision for the future of the Parish and proposes planning policies to be used to help determine planning applications locally. The Parish Council has formally submitted its Plan to Stratford-on-Avon District Council for consultation.
In accordance with Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended), Stratford District Counci lheld a consultation on the Submission version of the Plan between 6 February 2020 and Friday 20 March 2020.

Pre-Submission Draft consultation
The Pre-Submission Draft of the Napton-on-the-Hill Neighbourhood Plan was published for a six week period of consultation between 12 November 2018 and 14 January 2019 in accordance with Regulation 14 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended).
