Stratford-on-Avon District Council resolved that the Long Itchington Neighbourhood Plan was 'made' on 24th April 2023. It is now formally part of the District Council's development plan and will be used to assist in making decisions on planning applications within the area.
On Thursday 2nd March 2023, voters in Long Itchington voted ‘yes' to the Neighbourhood Plan
The Long Itchington Neighbourhood Plan was independently examined between October 2021 and May 2022 and the Examiner recommended that, subject to some proposed modifications, the Plan should proceed to referendum.
The District Council has now endorsed the Plan to proceed to a referendum to be held on Thursday 2 March 2023.

In accordance with paragraph 18 of The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended), The Local Planning Authority must now consider what action to take in response to the recommendations of the Examiner and decide what modifications, if any, are to be made to the Plan in order for it to proceed to referendum

Following completion of the Regulation 16 (Formal Submission) consultation in July this year, the Long Itchington, Bascote and Bascote Heath Neighbourhood Plan has now been sent for examination by an independent examiner, Mr Andrew Matheson.
Long Itchington Parish Council have prepared a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for their neighbourhood area with the help of the local community. The Plan sets out a vision for the future of the Parish and planning policies which will be used to determine planning applications locally. The Parish Council have formally submitted its plan to Stratford-on-Avon District Council for consultation.
In accordance with Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended), we held a consultation on the policies proposed in the Submission version of the Plan. The consultation started on Thursday 22 July 2021 and closed at 5pm on Friday 10 September 2021.

The Pre-Submission Draft of the Long Itchington, Bascote and Bascote Heath Neighbourhood Plan was published for a six week period of consultation between 5 October 2020 and 13 November 2020 in accordance with Regulation 14 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended).
The Long Itchington Neighbourhood Plan area was designated in October 2014. Long Itchington Parish Council was the relevant body that applied to the District Council for designation. The area application documents can be found below:
