In accordance with Regulation 12 of Part 3 of The Environmental Assessment of Plans and Programmes Regulations 2004, an environmental report (known as a Strategic Environmental Assessment or SEA) was prepared to identify, describe and evaluate the likely significant effect of the Ilmington Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) on environmental factors; suggest measures by which any adverse effects could be mitigated; make recommendations to improve the environmental performance of the Plan; and provide an opportunity for statutory consultees and interested parties to offer views on any aspect of the SEA process.
Regulation 13 of the above Regulations states that a SEA report shall be made available along with the draft Plan (draft plan is for information only as the consultation period of the draft plan has now ended) for the purposes of consultation (jointly known as ‘the relevant documents'). As such, a 6 week consultation period was held between 14 January 2019 and 25 February 2019 for comments to be received specifically in relation to the SEA Report.
The Ilmington Neighbourhood Plan Area was designated on 26 April 2016. Ilmington Parish Council was the relevant body that applied to the district council for designation. The area application documents can be found below:
