Due to the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, no Council meetings will be held before Wednesday 28 September 2022.
The Council has accepted the examiner's recommended modifications on the Tanworth-in-Arden Neighbourhood Plan and issued the decision that the plan should proceed to referendum. It is anticipated that the referendum can be held in November 2022. The Plan now has significant weight in the planning decision making process. Following completion of the Independent Examination of the Tanworth-in-Arden Neighbourhood Plan, the Examiner issued his report to the District Council on 28 February this year and this can be viewed below:
In accordance with paragraph 18 of The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended), The Local Planning Authority must now consider what action to take in response to the recommendations of the Examiner and decide what modifications, if any, are to be made to the Plan in order for it to proceed to referendum

Following completion of the Regulation 16 (Formal Submission) consultation in September this year, the Tanworth-in-Arden Neighbourhood Plan has now been sent for examination by an independent examiner.
Tanworth-in-Arden Parish Council have prepared a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for their neighbourhood area with the help of the local community. The Plan sets out a vision for the future of the Parish and planning policies which will be used to determine planning applications locally. The Parish Council have formally submitted its plan to Stratford-on-Avon District Council for consultation.
In accordance with Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended), we are holding a consultation on the policies proposed in the Submission version of the Plan. The consultation starts on Thursday 22 July 2021 and closes at 5pm on Friday 10 September 2021.

The Pre-Submission Draft of the Tanworth-in-Arden Neighbourhood Plan was published for a six week period of re-consultation from 10 February 2020, in accordance with Regulation 14 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended).

The Tanworth-in-Arden Neighbourhood Plan area was designated in October 2015. Tanworth-in-Arden Parish Council was the relevant body that applied to the District Council for designation. The area application documents can be found below:
