We will collect names, addresses, reference numbers, contact details and financial information.

We collect this information in order to complete and return searches that you submit to us in relation to the local land charges register – this includes searches made using the CON29 and LLC1 forms. We will use this information to take payment for searches and to communicate with you about our service delivery including delays and suspensions of service.

The local land charges register itself includes personal data including names, addresses, financial and property details. This information is generated by services within the Council and is received from other public bodies and publicly available sources. The local land charges register is made publicly available, and in particular we may share information with HM Land Registry in the provision of this service.

We store this information on our internal computer and manual systems.

This forms part of the tasks that we carry out in the public interest and in the exercise of our official authority.
