Stratford-on-Avon and Warwick District Councils are considering a proposal to merge, creating a new District Council covering the whole of South Warwickshire (the areas currently covered by Stratford-on-Avon and Warwick District Councils).
The public consultation on the plans to create a South Warwickshire Council starts this week on Monday 6 September and runs until Sunday 24 October.
The consultation document and online questionnaire can be viewed and completed at: www.southwarwickshire.org.uk
Here at Stratford Building Control we are always looking to deliver quality projects, and when we find exceptional quality we feel that it should be recognised.
The LABC Building Excellence Awards are fast becoming the most highly regarded and envied awards in all sectors of the construction industry. The Building Excellence Awards objectively identify and reward builders and developers who achieve the very highest standards in building construction across the full range of building sectors.
All projects where Local Authority Building Control (LABC) has been used are eligible for inclusion and all types of work have been assessed; from domestic extensions through to large multi-million pound developments. Quality is a team effort and entrants can include developers, architects and designers, consultants or main contractors. The awards are made by judges who are independent and not controlled by companies or commercial interests.
The Stratford-on-Avon Building Excellence Awards 2017 were held at the Town Hall. The afternoon saw many local builders, architects and building owners celebrate a great achievement by watching their schemes surpass over 2,000 projects that had been submitted to Local Authority Building Control to attain such a highly desired award.
The next awards will be held in 2019. Good luck!
