Financial and Wellbeing Support

Stratford-on-Avon District Council is committed to helping you access the right information and services. We know these are difficult times for people and that many of you worry about your money and not being able to pay bills which can impact on your wellbeing.

Please use our customer referral form to access free help and support with money or housing issues, training, finding a job and general wellbeing.

If you say yes to any of the questions in the form we will refer your details and the information you provide to the appropriate District Council department or partner organisation. You will be contacted and offered help directly by The Council or the relevant partner organisation

Our partner organisations which can provide support are

  • Citizens Advice South Warwickshire Citizens Advice South Warwickshire - offers free, confidential, impartial and independent advice on a range of issues including benefits and debt
  • P3 gives people the practical skills and self-esteem that they need to sustain an independent and self-sufficient lifestyle
  • Prospects gives 16-19 year olds the advice, guidance and skills to get into meaningful employment and to progress in the workplace
  • Accelerate Programme builds confidence, provides training, improves skills and provides work experience - to enable those over 19 looking for work to find the right job
  • Springfield Mind promotes wellbeing and aims to prevent mental health issues
  • Rethink Mental Illness supports people experiencing severe mental illness into employment
  • Act on Energy offers advice on all energy related issues from problems with bills to accessing grants
  • Preventing Homelessness Improving Lives (P.H.I.L) a homelessness prevention project that aims to identify and offer support to households at risk of homelessness, before they reach crisis point
  • Home Environment & Response Team (HEART) assists Warwickshire residents to improve, repair or adapt their homes and to protect and improve their health, safety and wellbeing through preventative services related to the home environment
  • Veterans Contact Point provides advice and support to ex-service personnel
  • Age UK Coventry & Warwickshire provides a range of services to people over 50
  • Change Grow Live supports people who are affected by drug or alcohol addiction
  • Carers Trust supports carers in every way so that they can deliver a caring role while maintaining their own wellbeing
  • Food Bank provides emergency food to people in financial crisis
  • Severn Trent a private company that provides water supply in the Midlands. Can help with water saving information and have financial assistance schemes for people struggling to pay water bills
  • Refuge provides support to women, men and children experiencing domestic violence, abuse or controlling behaviour
