Stratford-on-Avon District Council Car Parks in Stratford-Upon-Avon and across the district
Stratford-on-Avon District Council provides 8 car parks (with over 2,800 parking spaces) within Stratford-upon-Avon town centre and a further 800 spaces in the surrounding towns in the district.
Parking in Stratford-upon-Avon town
There are signs on all approach roads and throughout the town to guide you to the Council's car parks. Please note, charges apply in all of the Council's town centre car parks.
Two of the car parks within Stratford-upon-Avon (Bridgeway Multi-Storey Car Park and the adjacent Bridgeway Surface Car Park) are barrier controlled 'Pay on Foot', which means you take a ticket on entering the car park, keep it with you then pay the appropriate amount at one of the pay stations in the car park before returning to your vehicle.
All of the other Stratford-upon-Avon car parks are 'pay & display,' which means you have to buy a ticket on arrival and display it within your vehicle. The charges apply 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Parking in the surrounding towns in the district
The Council also provides car parks in the surrounding towns in the district. These are located in Shipston-on-Stour, Southam, Alcester, Bidford, Henley-in-Arden and Studley. All of these are free with the exception of Telegraph Street car park in Shipston-on-Stour.
There are spaces for motorcycles and a coach/lorry park within Stratford-upon-Avon including a designated free motorcycle car park adjacent to the Bridgeway Multi-Storey car park in Stratford-upon-Avon
Coach and Lorry parking
Within the Leisure Centre car park in Stratford-upon-Avon there is a designated area for coach and lorry parking.
All the Council's car parks have bays for disabled drivers. In addition, drivers with a blue disabled badge car park in any standard parking bay for free. The Council also provide a free Shopmobility Scheme for mobility impaired residents and visitors. This is located within the Bridgeway Multi-Storey car park.
Parent and Child parking
Within Bridgeway Multi-Storey Car Park, on level 2, there are designated bays for Parent and Child parking.
