COVID-19 Information

We can ensure all our users that we have the appropriate COVID-19 safety measures inplace.

Please pre-book in advance equipment needed, stating time of arrival. There will be no access to our office or toilet facilities.

Your equipment will be left outside of office, please return it to the same point. Handgel is provided by entrance door.

To pay for equipment on hire, we do not accept card payments, we only accept payments of cash or cheque (paid out to 'Friends of Stratford shopmobility') and placed inside an envelope.

Shopmobility is a free daily service that helps anyone with mobility problems get around Stratford-upon-Avon town centre independently, with freedom and confidence.

Why use Shopmobility?

Everyday activities such as shopping or travelling can often present difficult challenges for those with mobility issues. Shopmobility enables people with mobility problems to conduct themselves independently around the town centre in their own time and use all kinds of services without having to rely on friends or family.

Who can use Shopmobility?

Anyone of any age with a mobility issue, whether it be temporary or long term, can use Shopmobility. You do not have to be registered disabled, have a Blue Badge or be in receipt of disability benefits to use the service.

Opening Hours and Contact Details

Standard Shopmobility opening hours are:

  • Monday: 10:00 - 15:00
  • Tuesday to Saturday: 09:00 - 16:00 (revised closing times, all equipment must be back by 16:00)
  • Sundays:
    • April to September: 10:00 - 16:00
    • October to March: Closed
  • Bank Holiday Mondays:
    • April to September: 10:00 - 15:00

(Closed lunchtime Approximately 13:00 - 13:30 Tuesday to Saturday)

The Shopmobility service may also open on additional Sundays for special events in the town. Please contact us using the details below for more information.

On occasion it may be necessary for us to close the scheme in the event of staff sickness or training. Therefore we advise that you ring before you visit us to ensure that equipment is available and hopefully avoid a wasted journey.

AGM meeting

The yearly AGM meeting will take place at the shopmobilty office on Monday 3rd October 2022 at 9am till 10am and all members are welcome to attend.
