Stratford-on-Avon District Council provides twelve car parks with more than 2,800 parking spaces in Stratford-upon-Avon town centre. There are signs on all approach roads and throughout the town to guide you to the council's car parks.
All the other council car parks are pay and display, which means you have to buy a ticket on arrival and display it clearly in your vehicle. Charges apply 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
National Parking Platform
From 11 May 2026, you can pay to park in our car parks with The National Parking Platform.
The National Parking Platform allows drivers to choose how they pay for parking, rather than being restricted to a single parking app.
Payment can be made by:
- Downloading your preferred payment provider's app on a smartphone
- Calling the provider's automated payment line from any phone
Where payment machines are available, these can still be used in participating car parks.
Available providers may include:
- APCOA Connect
- AppyParking
- Caura
- JustPark
- PayByPhone
- RingGo
Each provider has its own app, contact number and fees. Please check the signs when you park.
