Stratford-on-Avon District Council provides eight car parks with more than 2,800 parking spaces in Stratford-upon-Avon town centre. There are signs on all approach roads and throughout the town to guide you to the council's car parks.
Two of the car parks in Stratford-upon-Avon (Bridgeway Multi-Storey Car Park and the adjacent Bridgeway Surface Car Park) are barrier controlled, ticketless ANPR car parks - please see these car parks' individual pages for more information.
All other Stratford-upon-Avon District Council car parks are pay and display, which means you have to buy a ticket on arrival and display it clearly in your vehicle. Charges apply 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Stratford District Council Car Parks
All NHS staff, health and social care workers, NHS Volunteer Responders and other Registered Volunteers are now able to park for free in District Council car parks during the coronavirus outbreak – they just need to display supporting evidence on the dashboard where it can be clearly seen through their windscreen, such as an official parking pass, a photocopy of their work pass (with sensitive information removed) or a letter from their employer or volunteer organisation.
The council also provides 800 car parking spaces in surrounding towns and villages in the district.
All are free with the exception of Telegraph Street Car Park in Shipston-on-Stour.
There are spaces for motorcycles in Stratford-upon-Avon including a designated free motorcycle park adjacent to the Bridgeway Multi-Storey Car Park. There is also designated coach and lorry parking within the Leisure Centre Car Park in Stratford-upon-Avon.
The majority of the council's car parks have bays for disabled drivers. In addition, drivers with a Blue Badge can park in any standard parking bay for free. The council also provides a free Shopmobility scheme for mobility-impaired residents and visitors, located within the Bridgeway Multi-Storey Car Park.
