Blue Badge Parking

Parking in Stratford-on-Avon District Council Pay and Display Car Parks

Parking is free in all Stratford-on-Avon District Council pay and display car parks for Blue Badge holders. Designated easy access parking bays are available in the majority of car parks, but if they are full then you may park in any other car parking bay.

Please note: Bridgeway Multi-Storey Car Park and Bridgeway Surface Car Park are operated by a ticketless barrier system. Blue Badge holders can park for free by visiting Stratford Shopmobility (located within the multi-storey car park), calling 01789 260691 or by emailing parking@stratford-dc.gov.uk. You will need to include the following information:

• Full name
• Full address including postcode
• Vehicle registration number
• Pictures of both the front and back of the blue badge

Blue Badge Misuse

Section 94 of the Traffic Management Act 2004 gives authorised officers powers to inspect Disabled Badges. Authorised officers can be police officers or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

Disabled Badges can only be used when the badge holder is in the vehicle. The only exception is if someone else is dropping off or picking up the badge holder. Misuse of a Blue Badge is a serious offence.

Offences include:

• The badge holder deliberately misuses their Blue Badge
• A person other than the badge holder misuses the Blue Badge
• A person uses a stolen or fraudulently altered badge or a fraudulently created document designed to look like a badge
