Chairman of the Council

The Chairman of Stratford-on-Avon District Council is elected in May of each year at the Annual Meeting of the Council.

It is the Chairman's responsibility as Civic Head is to represent the District Council at a large range of public, Civic and business events and also to act as Chairman at each full meeting of the Council.

The current Chairman is Councillor Mark Cargill and the current Vice-Chairman is Councillor Gill Forman.

The Chairman's charities for 2022-2023 are the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) and local Dementia support organisations within the District of Stratford-on-Avon.
