Financial Services is a support service that provides financial advice to officers and council members to ensure the correct management of the council's finances.

The service is responsible for preparing statutory financial statements; assisting with the financial planning and strategy of the council; preparing, co-ordinating and monitoring capital and revenue budgets; ledger and accounts maintenance; financial systems; treasury management; risk management; e-procurement; and corporate property and asset management.

The Executive Director B is the designated Section 151 Officer and is responsible for the management and smooth running of all financial aspects within the authority.
