The Stratford Link Project is raising £5,000 to to help move it towards charitable status.
The Stratford Link Project offers a support service to vulnerable people in Stratford-upon-Avon and has grown rapidly over the last few months. The project is working with local Police and community agencies and aims to give each individual an individual support plan. The project has limited access to funding as it does not yet have full charitable status.
This crowdfunding aims to help reduce street begging by offering the public a means of supporting homeless and vulnerable people without giving to them directly. This means that money can go towards targeted support and is spent appropriately, with no chance of it being used to purchase illicit substances.
The project recognises that the community want to help. However not everyone begging on the street is homeless, often those most in need are not visible. Stratford Link Project aims to offer all in need a fair chance of support and advice. Help them to reduce rough sleeping and begging and make Stratford-upon-Avon a safe and pleasant town for all.
