An informal hearing starts next week on Wednesday 25 June 2014, following an appeal by Banner Homes (Midlands) Limited against the development of land south of Campden Road and west of Oldbutt Road, Shipston-on-Stour.
The informal hearing relates to an outline application for up to 70 dwellings and public open space, landscaping and all associated works, refused by the District Council under planning application 13/02571/OUT.
Stratford-on-Avon District Council has refused the application on the following grounds:
The informal hearing is expected to last for 2 days, and will be held at the Council Offices, Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford-upon-Avon starting at 10am. A Government Planning Inspector will preside over the inquiry.
Members of the public may attend the informal hearing and express their view – at the discretion of the inspector.
Planning Inspectorate Reference: APP/J3720/A/14/2217247.
Planning hearings are an effective way of presenting planning arguments to an inspector in person, without the more formal atmosphere of an inquiry. They also allow the inspector to examine important issues in depth by asking questions of the parties (the organisations and people involved). Local residents may go to the hearing and give their views to the inspector.
