Stratford-on-Avon District Council has received the tenders for the new play equipment at the Orrian Close play area, Stratford-upon-Avon.
Cllr Lynda Organ, Finance and Physical Resources Portfolio says: βThe District Council has consulted with local people and listened to what residents have said on the choice, design and layout of the new play equipment to be installed. We are now a step closer to making this a reality having received the tenders to carry out this work."
Work to improve and upgrade the play area at Orrian Close, began last year with the installation of a new measured mile and outdoor gym equipment
The play area and green space at Orrian Close is being completely upgraded and refurbished as part of a wider scheme to improve the parks in Stratford-upon-Avon thanks to Section 106 monies obtained through the planning system.
The new equipment will include a 30 metre zip wire, multi play unit, trim trail, basket and rope end swings and roundabout. The works are due to be completed by the end of March 2015.
