This section covers some specific aspects of health and safety, but for general advice we recommend that you visit the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) website.
The enforcement of health and safety is split between local authorities (district and borough councils) and the HSE. Broadly speaking, Stratford-on-Avon District Council covers offices, shops, warehouses, restaurants, pubs, clubs, tyre-fitting bays and theatres. The HSE typically covers factories, building sites, schools, colleges, hospitals, construction, and central and local government premises.
