The Yuletide extravaganza returned for the third year and has been hailed a huge success once again.

It is estimated that over 123,000 visitors went along to the popular tourist destination over the three days to enjoy everything that was on offer.

Organised by Stratford-upon-Avon Town Council, Stratford-on-Avon District Council and LSD Promotions, there were around 300 stalls for visitors to browse, along with entertainment and a traditional funfair including a carousel.

Cllr Ian Shenton, Operations Portfolio Holder at Stratford-on-Avon District Council, said: "We could not have asked for a better weekend - it was absolutely fantastic.

"It was lovely to see so many people of all ages come out and get into the festive spirit and we couldn't have asked for better weather on the Saturday and Sunday.

"Everyone from the traders to the staff and the visitors made it an amazing third year of the market."

Appearing for the first time in 2019 was a Victorian Christmas Community Fair in the Town Hall on the Saturday with stalls set up by local good causes.

The Mayor of Stratford-upon-Avon, Kate Rolfe, said: "I would like to thank everyone who visited the market, it was amazing to see so many people at the Community Craft Fair on Saturday.

"Overall, it was a wonderful three days, with smiling faces all round and everyone getting in the mood for the Christmas holidays.

"Now we are looking to the future and planning has already begun for the event to return next year. We're all looking forward to seeing everyone again in 2020 from December 11 to 13."
