Council Plan logoStratford-on-Avon District Council is preparing a new Council Plan that will be in place for the next four years.

Stratford-on-Avon District residents, local businesses, parish and town councils, voluntary groups and partners are being given the chance to help create this new plan, as the District Council begins a consultation.

Cllr Daren Pemberton, Deputy Leader of Stratford-on-Avon District Council and Place Portfolio Holder, says: "Since the elections in May, the District Council has been working with key stakeholders to produce a set of aspirations and outcomes that aims to have a positive impact on residents, communities and businesses in the district.

"These actions will complement the wider vision for the District Council and the district as a place by 2030. Obviously in setting this long term vision the views of the public are important. This is your opportunity to take part in this consultation and I would encourage you to have your say.

"The District Council is keen to ensure this plan is both ambitious but realistic in light of financial challenges."

The District Council is currently consulting on the following themes:

  • Working on regional, national and international stages
  • Enhancing the quality of place
  • Responding to the climate emergency
  • Putting residents, businesses and communities centre stage

The draft Council Plan is now out for consultation and residents and businesses are invited to complete the questionnaire: https://www.snapsurveys.com/wh/s.asp?k=156441641624

The consultation runs until Tuesday 27 August 2019.
