Stratford-on-Avon District Celebration of Sport 2014 - nominate now!

Each year Stratford-on-Avon District Council host a district wide Sports Awards evening in recognition of the success and hard work that takes place within sport across the Stratford-on-Avon District.

The 2014 Celebration of Sport will be taking place on Friday 24^th January at the Stratford Manor Q Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon.

2014 will be the 12^th year in which the awards have been hosted by Stratford-on-Avon District Council and this year sponsored by Rybrook Stratford, Everyone Active and NFU Mutual and supported by the Stratford Herald newspaper and the Stratford Manor Q Hotel, the event will recognise not only the sporting triumphs of 2013 but also the hard work and commitment from volunteers, coaches and supporters in clubs and schools across the district.

Nominations are now open and the search is on for sports stars and enthusiasts to be part of this celebration of sport.

The awards are open to all sports enthusiasts who are part of a club or school team, whether they manage, play or support and are open to both disabled and non-disabled people.

Nominations can be made in the following 9 categories;

• NFU Mutual Community Award
• Junior Sports Person of the Year
• Everyone Active Junior Team of the Year
• Alternative Sport Award
• Senior Team of the Year
• Rybrook Stratford Coach or PE Teacher of the Year
• Sports Volunteer of the Year
• Senior Sports Person of the Year
• Stratford Manor Q Hotel Service to Sport Award

All nominations need to be submitted by Friday 22^nd November and can be made online at www.stratford.gov.uk/sportsawards or by completing the nomination form and sending in direct to the District Council.
