Stratford-on-Avon District Council published a notice of vacancy on 17 March 2026 for the office of a District Councillor for the Bishops Itchington, Fenny Compton and Napton ward.

For a by-election to take place to fill the vacancy, a valid written request required two registered local government electors in Stratford-on-Avon district to give notice to David Buckland, Proper Officer, Stratford-on-Avon District Council, Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, CV37 6HX, to hold an election for the said ward.

Following receipt of a valid written request, the Returning Officer for the Council will now set the date of an election to be held within 35 days of the request (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays). Find the notice of vacancy on our website here.
