The Citizens' Panel began in 1999 and provides a systematic way of gathering residents' opinions on matters of local concern. These views can then be used to influence decisions made by the council about policies and services in the district.

The Citizens' Panel is a group of around 1,200 residents of the Stratford-on-Avon District who are representative of the general population in the area. To obtain their views on a number of issues, we regularly send them questionnaires or invite them to participate in discussion groups known as focus groups.

  • The results of the January/February 2018 Panel focused on budget consultation.
  • The results of the January 2017 Panel focused on budget consultation.
  • The results of the November 2016 Panel focused on the Strategic Review.
  • The full report of the October 2016 Panel focused on Markets, Sports & Leisure provision in the District, Sports & Active Recreation, Dementia, Rough Sleepers & Beggars and Venture House.

The results of the most recent surveys are detailed in the documents on the Downloads list below.

The panel is open to anyone who lives in the district. Volunteer to participate and receive up to three questionnaires a year using the online recruitment form.
