Apply for a dual Hackney Carriage & Private Hire Driver Licence

Please be aware that you will need the following documents saved on your computer prior to applying. These documents will need uploading to the online system for your application to be deemed valid:

• Passport Photo (Taken within the last 3 months)
• Practical driving assessment certificate (new applications only)
• DVLA mandate share code.
• DBS check (no older than 3 months old)
• Copy of your UK or EU driving Licence (both the front and back of your driving licence should be provided)
• Birth certificate or passport
• Right to work card (If applicable)
• Medical assessment form completed and sign by a doctor. (For new applications, renewals after the age of 45)
• Payment (£314.97 for a new application / £267.39 for a renewal application)

On receipt of a valid application you will receive an automated email acknowledgment. Please be advised that until an application is complete the licensing authority is unable to process your application. Complete applications can take between 4-6 weeks to be processed and issued.
