Here are the decisions from the Stratford-on-Avon District Council's Cabinet meeting on Monday 9 February, which included the Revenue and Capital Budget 2026/27 to 2030/31, Future options for the Grange Hall in Southam and Provision of Shopmobility.
The Cabinet has approved the proposed fees and charges for 2026/27 and the Non-Domestic Rates provisional contributions for 2026/2027. The draft budget proposals were initially presented to The Cabinet at its meeting on 19 January 2026, where they were endorsed for consultation with local residents and businesses. The Budget will be presented at Full Council on Monday 23 February for final approval.
The Cabinet, in conjunction with Southam Town Council, has approved, the option to advertise the Grange Hall for use as a Community Asset. Under this option, bids could be invited from community organisations to lease and operate the building. These bids would be appraised, based on their viability and the contribution that they made to the published objectives of Stratford-on-Avon District Council and Southam Town Council.
The Cabinet has noted the year 2 Review of Stratford Shopmobility and has approved the funding request for £15,000. Stratford-on-Avon District Council (SDC) is committed to supporting the provision of a Shopmobility Service and understands its importance and the role it provides to residents and tourists in the District.
