Press Release
Published on 24 November 2025
Less than a week to go! Stratford-on-Avon District Council, in partnership with LSD Promotions and Stratford-upon-Avon Town Council, is thrilled to announce a fresh look for its renowned Christmas Markets for 2025.
With 200 high-quality stalls on Waterside, Henley Street and Bridge Street, the markets remain some of the largest in the West Midlands, promising a truly special shopping experience. Taking place over two consecutive weekends, on 29th and 30th November and 6th and 7th December 2025 (Saturday 12-8pm, Sunday 10am-5pm), this allows visitors to experience the markets on what are traditionally the most popular days, and the midweek traffic congestion in the town will be significantly reduced.
Roads fully closed will be:
Please note that there will be changes to traffic flow in:
Wood Street will be open both ways, but egress will be down Union Street only as there will be no vehicular access to other streets.
Sheep Street will be open, but Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) measures will be in place adjacent to Waterside.
We encourage visitors, using their own transport, to use the Stratford-upon-Avon Park & Ride in Bishopton. Normal Park & Ride charges will apply on each of these days.
The Stratford-upon-Avon Christmas Markets are also offering free spaces for local choirs and singing groups to perform.
You will be able to add to the Yuletide atmosphere by performing festive favourites and can also run a collection for your group or chosen charity.
You can be a school, choir, friends or solo singer - all are welcome. The only condition is that the theme is Christmas.
If you would like the chance to appear, please contact us at events@stratford-dc.go.uk and we will be in touch.
