Lanterns will light up Stratford-upon-Avon's streets as part of a special parade to officially launch the 2019 Victorian Christmas Market.
The festive extravaganza will be returning to the top tourist destination for the third year running on December 6, 7 and 8.
As part of the proceedings, a special civic opening will be taking place on Friday, December 6, which will see civic dignitaries parade through the streets in celebration of the weekend.
Holding lanterns to illuminate the way, they will be led through the town by the Holy Trinity Choir from the Town Hall to Henley Street.
The parade will go down Sheep Street, Waterside, Bridge Street and ending up in Henley Street, but this may be shortened down to High Street and Henley Street if there is inclement weather.
Youngsters from Holy Trinity Primary School will take to the stage to perform and then the Mayor of Stratford and the chairman of Stratford-on-Avon District Council will welcome visitors before declaring the event open.
The parade is set to begin at 6pm and everyone is welcome to come along and get into the festive spirit.
There will be around 300 stalls selling a whole host of products perfect for the season or as presents for loved ones and the reindeers that were so popular last year will be coming back once again.
Organised by Stratford-on-Avon District Council, Stratford-upon-Avon Town Council and LSD Promotions, there will be around 300 stalls, a traditional funfair which will include a carousel and much more.
This year will see the introduction of a Community Craft Fair located in the Town Hall on Sheep Street.
The Christmas market will be open between 11am and 8pm on Friday, December 6, 10am until 8pm on Saturday, December 7 and 10am until 5pm on Sunday, December 8. It will be taking place along Waterside, Bridge Street, Henley Street, High Street and Meer Street.
