This weekend, from Saturday 19th February, Stratford Leisure Centre is launching its eagerly awaited, brand-new gamified obstacle course, TAGactive.

Fusing physical activity, gaming and technology, TAGactive is set to be a popular choice of activity for both kids and adults, looking for a fun and exciting activity to keep them entertained during the upcoming half term week and beyond.

Stratford Leisure Centre is run by award-winning leisure operator Everyone Active, in partnership with Stratford-on-Avon District Council.

In addition to TAGactive, the centre is also launching an upgraded version of its Clip n' Climb. Now gamified, users can wear tag bands to set times and challenges - creating a fun and immersive experience.

Stratford's Swimming Pool will also see a new addition, with the launch of a brand-new Teaching Pool including a variety of fun and interactive water play features (water walls, sprays and tipping buckets) for family and young children to enjoy - making a trip to the pool even more exciting and a great way to introduce young children to water.

Alex Fuoco-Lang, Contract Manager for Everyone Active at Stratford Leisure Centre, said: "We're excited to launch our brand new TAGactive Arena this weekend. It provides a completely new offer for the local community by combining activity, gaming and technology.

"It will appeal to all ages and abilities, particularly younger individuals, who can continue to enjoy their love of gaming, but also benefit from engaging in exercise and healthy competition with friends, family colleagues or classmates."

Cllr Matt Jennings, Culture, Tourism and Leisure Portfolio Holder at Stratford-on-Avon District Council says: "This is an exciting addition to the activities already offered at Stratford Leisure Centre and is something which people of all ages and abilities can enjoy - bringing the fun factor to exercise!

"The investments being made to our Leisure Centres across Stratford-on-Avon District mean our residents have access to state-of-the-art facilities."

TAGactive sessions are bookable via the Everyone Active app and website.
