The next public participation opportunity at Stratford-on-Avon District Council's Climate Change Panel takes place on Tuesday 3 May at 4pm in the Council Chamber of Elizabeth House in Stratford-upon-Avon

Once a quarter the business of the Climate Change Panel meeting focuses on public participation as a standing item and members of the public can make representations or ask questions on matters within the Terms of Reference of the Panel.

Members of the public are asked to submit either a written submission or a video of their question or statement to climate.emergency@stratford-dc.gov.uk two weeks prior to the scheduled public participation meeting.

Submissions will be selected by the Chairman, with priority given to individuals or groups who have not been selected in the previous six months.

The deadline for submitting questions for the meeting in May is Tuesday 19 April 2022.

Cllr Ian Shenton, Climate Change Portfolio says: "Climate change is one of the biggest challenges facing the world today and here in Stratford District we want to play our part.

"We know this is something that our residents are very passionate about and it's good to hear from individuals, local community groups and businesses - really anyone who has a passion for the environment.  It's important to hear their views and that people feel involved at the beginning of any decision making process.

"There are lots of things we can do as individuals, any small changes you can make really do help, but by working together we can make a real and lasting difference."
