New Leisure Management Contract for Stratford-on-Avon District Council

Stratford-on-Avon District Council and SLM Ltd have signed a new Leisure Management Contract.

The new contract officially started at the beginning of July, for an initial 10-year period with the option to extend for two periods of up to 5 years each, with a maximum total contract term of 20 years.

The new contract covers all the District Council's leisure centres:

  • Stratford Leisure Centre
  • Southam Leisure Centre
  • Shipston Leisure Centre
  • Studley Leisure Centre
  • The Greig Leisure Centre

The contract also includes the Sports Pavilion on the Recreation Ground in Stratford-upon-Avon, which will be used as an outreach hub for targeted interventions.

The partnership will also see a total investment in excess of £3million over the next 12-15 months across the leisure centres, which includes the following:

  • New gym with the latest Technogym equipment, new free weights and fitness zones, new sauna and steam room and changing facilities at Southam Leisure Centre.
  • New group cycling studio with atmospheric lighting, new gym with the latest Technogym equipment and enhanced fitness offering at The Greig Leisure Centre.
  • New gym with the latest Technogym equipment and new interactive pool inflatable at Shipston Leisure Centre.
  • Complete poolside refurbishment with enhanced swimming experience including sensory lighting and new changing facilities at Studley Leisure Centre.
  • Introduction of Technogym 'Skill' and 'Climb' range, Shapemaster toning suite, new gamified clip and climb and TAG active experiences at Stratford Leisure Centre.
