Stratford-on-Avon District Council confirms it has commenced enforcement action in respect of the unauthorised traveller encampment at the Darlingscott cross roads on the A429, near Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire.
Over the last few days, Council officers have visited the site in order to obtain more information.
A temporary stop notice, under the auspices of planning legislation, has been served today.
The purpose of the temporary stop notice is to impose the immediate suspension of the importation of any additional mobile homes and caravans onto the site.
