Kineton by-election

Two candidates will be contesting the seat at the Kineton ward for Stratford-on-Avon District Council on Thursday 2 November.  

The polling stations will be open from 7am until 10pm.  

The by-election follows the resignation of Clive Higgs (Lib Dem) in September.  

The candidates are:

  • Sandra Mary Knapton (Liberal Democrat)          
  • Susan Wixey  (Conservative)    

The electorate for the Kineton ward is 3,344. Turnout for the last contested election at Kineton was 47.15%.  

The count for the Kineton by-election will be held at Kineton Village Hall after polls close at 10pm.  

The current political make-up of the District Council's 53 seats is:          

Conservatives - 31          
Liberal Democrats  - 18 seats          
Independents - 3          
Vacancy - 1 (Kineton)
