Stratford-on-Avon District Council has confirmed that there will be no scheduled district-wide local elections taking place in May 2026.

The only election being held on Thursday 7 May 2026 is the by-election for the Bishops Itchington, Fenny Compton and Napton ward.

This by-election applies only to registered electors within this ward.

Residents living outside of Bishops Itchington, Fenny Compton and Napton are not affected and do not need to take any action.

The Council has issued this clarification following enquiries from residents who may have been expecting the usual cycle of local elections to take place in May.
