We would like to thank all the respondents for taking the time to respond to the Preferred Options consultation and sending us their representations. We have summarised the key issues arising from those representations and produced a consultation statement. The consultation statement summarises the key issues that arose from the consultation exercise that was undertaken last year. It is key piece of work that will help inform policy writing as the issues raised will be considered by officers in drafting policies for Regulation 19 Plan. The consultation statement on the Preferred Options can be found below.

The consultation statement contains 4 main chapters: 

• Chapter 1- provides information and background information about planning requirements of the consultation statement
• Chapter 2- This chapter sets out the consultation methods that were used and included feedback from the consultation events
• Chapter 3- This chapter includes the consultation responses information as to how may representations we received and also included comments from Duty to Cooperate (DtC) bodies  
• Chapter 4- This chapter includes the summaries for representations from chapter 1 to chapter 12. 

We have also produced a "Summary document" highlighting the key messages for each Draft Policy Direction, draft policy, strategic growth location, and potential new settlement. The summary document is available below.
