Schedule 1 of the Licensing Act 2003 sets out the activities that are to be treated as the provision of regulated entertainment. There have been a number of deregulations of entertainment in recent years, which means it is worth checking government guidance to see whether the entertainment activity you are thinking of requires a licence, as it may be exempt.

You can view guidance on entertainment licensing and relevant exemptions online at gov.uk.
