Residents can now access information about their Council Tax, Housing Benefits, Local Council Tax Reduction and Business Rates online 24/7.

Customer feedback tells us that residents want to have access to Council Services at a time convenient to them.

This new Service provides customers with access to their accounts anywhere, at any time. The pages will be very clear and easy to use, providing residents with information and advice.

How to use this service -
  • Sign up for a MyDistrict account as an individual or a business
  • If you already have a MyDistrict account, you can login to it
  • Set up your business or property address under profile
  • Click on Bills and Benefits and follow the process to subscribe for online services
What you need to do -

If you are a landlord:

  • Ensure your name in MyDistrict is exactly the same as on your council tax bill
  • Provide your unique reference number which is located on the payment schedule

If you are an Individual:

  • Ensure your name in MyDistrict is exactly the same as on your council tax bill
  • Select the service you want to subscribe to and enter the reference number which you can find on your related bill/letter
  • If you have benefits, you will be asked to provide either your National Insurance number or date of birth, you may also be asked for your claim number

If you are a business:

  • Ensure you are registered in MyDistrict as a business
  • Provide your business name exactly as it is in your business rates bill
  • Provide your business rates reference number as shown on your bill
What happens after you sign up? -
  • As an extra security measure we will send you a one-time password in a letter to your registered address
  • The letter will also have instructions on how to submit the password and who to contact if there are any queries

You will then be able to view your account details and if you want all future bills electronically, please select the "sign up for e-billing" button at "Home/ Account Selection/ Account Summary."
