The Armed Forces Covenant recognises an obligation to members of the armed forces and their families and establishes how they should expect to be treated. The covenant exists to redress the disadvantages that the armed forces community may face in comparison to other citizens and to recognise sacrifices made.

You are part of the armed forces community if you are serving or have served in the Army, Royal Navy, Marines, or Air Force. The armed forces community also includes families and dependants, reservists and veterans. A veteran is anyone who has served in the armed forces.

For more information, see the Covenant pages of the Warwickshire County Council website.

Special consideration is given to certain serving members and former serving members of the armed forces and reservists and also to spouses in specific situations when applying for social housing opportunities within Stratford-on-Avon District through Home Choice Plus.
