Recycling collections across Stratford-on-Avon District will start again on Monday 2 August.
2020 would have been the fourth of what has been a annual and award-winning event which takes place in the town centre. We have added an additional day to the 2021 event. The Victorian Christmas Market is a themed event with stall holders dressed in Victorian costumes. There will be entertainment throughout the town; a stage in Henley Street will host a programme of performances. There will be a traditional funfair, which will include a carousel situated at the bottom of Wood Street and on the Rother Street market area.
The Christmas market will be on Waterside, Bridge Street, Henley Street, High Street and Meer Street, with stalls which will include street food and drink-related produce being positioned on Wood Street.
If you would like more information about this very successful event, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
The following roads will be closed from 16:00 on Wednesday 8 December until 01.00 on Monday 13 December 2021:
Rother Street will not be closed and the access from Greenhill Street and Windsor Street into Rother Street will be maintained during this period.
We politely request that companies who have deliveries within these areas work with their suppliers to make deliveries prior to the road closures coming into force – no vehicles will be allowed into these areas once the road closures are in place. Security during this event will be very tight. If you require further information in relation to deliveries outside of the event operating period, then please contact 07948 307105, this number is for Safe to Go who are the events security company and Event Controller. This number will only be in use from 4 pm on Wednesday 9 December until the event closes on Sunday 13 December 2020.
If you intend to visit this event please read the Stratford-upon-Avon Victorian Christmas Market Accessibility Statement . We encourage visitors to use the Bishopton Park & Ride which will also be in available on Sunday 12 December 2021.
If you are a business situated within the market area and would like to take part, it is possible you can trade outside of your premises to make the most of what will be the high footfall generated by the Victorian Christmas Market. To do this you need to register with the market contractor and you must only promote or sell your normal stock or service. Those manning the stall must be dressed in Victorian dress; this is mandatory for all traders during the event. You must be confident that you comply with the Town's regulatory standards, trade within its agreed licenses, and have all the necessary insurance, safety documentation and equipment, as these stalls will not fall under the umbrella of permissions and insurances in place for the main event.
The Stratford-upon-Avon Victorian Christmas Market will benefit the whole of Stratford-upon-Avon in a variety of ways, in particular by bringing in additional visitors and a much needed boost to the economy. However, we are aware that not everyone enjoys or gets a direct benefit from the event, and we could not run this event without the support and understanding of local residents, who we know can be inconvenienced at this time. Dedicated stewards will be working throughout the site.
Please note that none of the public car parks within the town centre will be affected. Please be aware that you may be required to prove eligibility to take advantage of any alternative arrangements that may be available.
If you are a market trader and would like more information on how you can be part of this event as a local business contact LSD Promotions (Marketplace) Ltd on 01384 877336 or email email@example.com.
