The countdown to the most enchanting event of the year has begun ! The Stratford-upon-Avon Victorian Christmas Market is back, and it's bigger and more magical than ever. The historic streets of Stratford-upon-Avon will, once again, be transformed into a festive wonderland, offering an unparalleled holiday experience for visitors of all ages. Why not join us on the following dates:
Immerse yourself in the past as you wander through 300+ stalls adorned with the finest festive treats and gifts. Traders, dressed in authentic Victorian attire, create a nostalgic atmosphere that transports you to a bygone era. The market is not just a shopping destination; it's a captivating journey through time. Indulge your taste buds with a wide array of festive food and drinks. From roasted chestnuts to traditional mulled wine and cider, the flavours of Christmas will tantalise your senses.
Recognised as the 'Best Large Specialty Market' at the Great British Market Awards, the Stratford-upon-Avon Victorian Christmas Market has truly earned its place as a must-visit event. The Christmas market will be on Waterside, Bridge Street, Henley Street, High Street and Meer Street.

The following roads will be closed from : Wednesday 6th December, 2pm
Rother Street will not be closed and the access from Greenhill Street and Windsor Street into Rother Street will be maintained during this period.
We politely request that companies who have deliveries within these areas work with their suppliers to make deliveries prior to the road closures coming into force - No vehicles will be allowed into these areas once the road closures are in place. Security during this event will be very tight. If you require further information in relation to deliveries outside of the event operating period, then please contact 07948 307105, this number is for Safe to Go who are the events security company and event controller. This number will only be in use from 2pm.
If you intend to visit this event please read the Stratford-upon-Avon Victorian Christmas Market Accessibility Statement. We encourage visitors, using their own transport, to use the Stratford-upon-Avon Park & Ride in Bishopton which will also be in available on each of the days of the event, running until TBC on Thursday to Saturday and until TBC on Sunday. Normal park & ride charges will apply on each of these days.

Coaches - Parking will be at the Riverside Coach & Lorry Park on Bridgeway. This will operate on a first come, first served basis (70 spaces only) and there will be arrangements will be in place for an overspill coach park at the Stratford-upon-Avon Park & Ride in Bishopton (once passengers have alighted at the Riverside Coach & Lorry Park).
Coach Drop Off/Pick up - will be at the Riverside Coach & Lorry Park only.
If you are a business situated within the market area and would like to take part, it is possible you can trade outside of your premises to make the most of what will be the high footfall generated by the Victorian Christmas Market. To do this you need to register with the market operator and you must only promote or sell your normal stock or service. Those manning the stall must be dressed in traditional Victorian costume; this is mandatory for all traders during the event. You must be confident that you comply with the Town's regulatory standards, trade within its agreed licenses, and have all the necessary insurance, safety documentation and equipment, as these stalls will not fall under the umbrella of permissions and insurances in place for the main event.
The Stratford-upon-Avon Victorian Christmas Market will benefit the whole of Stratford-upon-Avon in a variety of ways, in particular by bringing in additional visitors and a much needed boost to the local economy. However, we are aware that not everyone enjoys or gets a direct benefit from the event, and we could not run this event without the support and understanding of local residents, who we know can be inconvenienced at this time. Dedicated stewards will be working throughout the site.
Please note that none of the public car parks within the town centre will be affected. Please be aware that you may be required to prove eligibility to take advantage of any alternative arrangements that may be available.
