What funding is available?
The Stratford on Avon Energy Support Fund (ESF) has been set up to offer financial support this winter (2023-2024) for vulnerable households within the District who are struggling to pay their energy bills.
This payment consists of a one-off payment of £500 (for households with children) or £300 (for households without children). This payment is made directly to the energy provider.
Who is eligible for ESF?
All homeowners, private rented tenants and housing association/Council tenants can apply or be referred for fuel vouchers or fuel payments if they:
- Live in Stratford on Avon District
- Have a combined gross household income of no more than £31,000 per year
- Have no household savings
- Have someone living in the home with a vulnerability
Applicants must satisfy all four of the above criteria to be eligible.
Vulnerabilities may include:
- Long term diagnosed and treated health conditions e.g. COPD
- Self-employed who have been unable to work/income impacted by Covid 19
- Households with unmanageable debt
- Recently made redundant
- Pregnant
- Disabled and in receipt of DLA or PIP
- In receipt of free school meals
- Other vulnerabilities on application
