What funding is available?

The Stratford on Avon Energy Support Fund (ESF) has been set up to offer financial support this winter (2023-2024) for vulnerable households within the District who are struggling to pay their energy bills.

This payment consists of a one-off payment of £500 (for households with children) or £300 (for households without children). This payment is made directly to the energy provider.

Who is eligible for ESF?

All homeowners, private rented tenants and housing association/Council tenants can apply or be referred for fuel vouchers or fuel payments if they:

  • Live in Stratford on Avon District
  • Have a combined gross household income of no more than £31,000 per year
  • Have no household savings
  • Have someone living in the home with a vulnerability

Applicants must satisfy all four of the above criteria to be eligible.

Vulnerabilities may include:

  • Long term diagnosed and treated health conditions e.g. COPD
  • Self-employed who have been unable to work/income impacted by Covid 19
  • Households with unmanageable debt
  • Recently made redundant
