Stratford-on-Avon District Council resolved that the Wellesbourne and Walton Neighbourhood Development Plan was 'made' on 17 December 2018. It is now formally part of the District Council's development plan and will be used to assist in making decisions on planning applications within the plan area.
On Thursday 11 October 2018, voters in Wellesbourne and Walton voted 'yes' to the Neighbourhood Plan.
The Wellesbourne and Walton Neighbourhood Plan was independently examined between January and April 2018. Following the examiner's report of 24 April 2018 (see ‘Specified Documents' below). The Cabinet voted on 30 July 2018 to proceed to referendum with the Plan, as amended by the modifications that are set out in the decision statement below.
Following completion of the Regulation 16 (Formal Submission) consultation in late November 2017, the Wellesbourne and Walton Neighbourhood Plan was sent for independent examination. The examiner's report is available to view and download from the "specified documents" section above.
In accordance with Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended), we held a six-week consultation on the policies proposed in the Submission version of the Plan. This consultation ran from 12 October 2017 to 24 November 2017.

The Pre-Submission Draft of the Wellesbourne and Walton Neighbourhood Plan was published for a six week period of consultation between 11 June 2016 and 6 August 2016 in accordance with Regulation 14 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended).
The Wellesbourne and Walton Neighbourhood Plan Area was designated by the cabinet on 3 November 2014. Wellesbourne and Walton Parish Council was the relevant body that applied to the District Council for designation. The area application documents can be found below:
