Stratford-on-Avon District Council resolved that the Beaudesert and Henley-in-Arden Neighbourhood Plan was 'made' on 8th July 2024. It is now formally part of the District Council's development plan and will be used to assist in making decisions on planning applications within the area.
On Thursday 30th May 2024, voters in Beaudesert and Henley-in-Arden voted ‘yes' to the Neighbourhood Plan
The Beaudesert and Henley-in-Arden Neighbourhood Plan was independently examined between December 2023 and February 2024 and the Examiner recommended that, subject to some proposed modifications, the Plan should proceed to referendum. The District Council agrees with the Examiner's report and the Portfolio Holder for Planning and Economic Development at the District Council has endorsed the recommendation to proceed to referendum.
The referendum will be held on Thursday 30 May 2024.
There are three ways to vote in the referendum, in person, by post and by proxy.

Following completion of the Independent Examination of the Beaudesert and Henley-in-Arden Neighbourhood Plan, the Examiner issued their report to the District Council in February this year and this can be viewed below:
In accordance with paragraph 18 of The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended), The Local Planning Authority must now consider what action to take in response to the recommendations of the Examiner and decide what modifications, if any, are to be made to the Plan in order for it to proceed to referendum.
Following completion of the Regulation 16 (Formal Submission) consultation in November this year, the Beaudesert and Henley-in-Arden Neighbourhood Plan has now been sent for examination by an independent examiner, Dr Louise Brooke-Smith.
Beaudesert and Henley-in-Arden Parish Council as the qualifying body has prepared the 'Beaudesert and Henley-in-Arden Neighbourhood Development Plan 2011-2031' , for the neighbourhood area with the help of the local community.
The Plan sets out a vision for the future of the parish and planning policies which will be used to determine planning applications locally. In accordance with Regulation 16 of Part 5 of The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended), Stratford-on-Avon District Council held a public consultation on the Submission Draft Plan. The consultation ran from 12 October to 5.00pm on Friday 24 November 2023.

The Pre-Submission Draft of the Beaudesert and Henley-in-Arden Neighbourhood Plan was published for a six week period of re-consultation from Thursday 16 July to 5pm to Thursday 27 August 2020, in accordance with Regulation 14 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended).

The Pre-Submission Draft of the Beaudesert & Henley-in-Arden Neighbourhood Plan was published for a six week period of consultation between 23 January 2019 and 13 March 2019 in accordance with Regulation 14 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended).
The Beaudesert & Henley-in-Arden Neighbourhood Plan Area was designated on 9 September 2014. Beaudesert & Henley-in-Arden Parish Council was the relevant body that applied to the district council for designation. The area application documents can be found below:
