Stratford-on-Avon District Council resolved that the Shipston-on-Stour Neighbourhood Development Plan was 'made' on 15 October 2018. It is now formally part of the District Council's development plan and will be used to assist in making decisions on planning applications within the plan area.
On Thursday 6 September, voters in Shipston-on-Stour voted 'yes' to the Neighbourhood Plan.
The Shipston-on-Stour Neighbourhood Plan was independently examined during November 2017 and February 2018 . Following the examiner's report of 13th February 2018 (see ‘Specified Documents' below). The Cabinet voted on 2 July 2018 to proceed to referendum with the Plan, as amended by the modifications that are set out in the decision statement below.
In accordance with Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended),we held a consultation on the Submission Draft of the Shipston-on-Stour Neighbourhood Plan. The consultation started on 2 November and closed on 15 December 2017.

The Pre-Submission Draft of the Shipston-on-Stour Neighbourhood Plan was published for a six week period of consultation between 7 November 2016 and 31 December 2016 in accordance with Regulation 14 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended).
The Shipston-on-Stour Neighbourhood Plan Area was designated by the cabinet on 8 April 2013. Shipston-on-Stour Town Council was the relevant body that applied to the District Council for designation. The area application documents can be found below:
