Stratford-on-Avon and Warwick District Councils are considering a proposal to merge, creating a new District Council covering the whole of South Warwickshire (the areas currently covered by Stratford-on-Avon and Warwick District Councils).
The public consultation on the plans to create a South Warwickshire Council starts this week on Monday 6 September and runs until Sunday 24 October.
The consultation document and online questionnaire can be viewed and completed at: www.southwarwickshire.org.uk
We are a focused, busy and forward-thinking workforce, committed to providing the best services we can to both our residents and visitors. We are successful as a result of having flexible, committed and enthusiastic staff, who are prepared to go the extra mile and have a 'can-do' work ethic.
We have a strong set of values that define our behaviour and sit behind all of the work we do, both delivering direct services and supporting the work of our internal teams. Our staff and elected members are all committed to working with Integrity, Trust, Approachability and Adaptability. These four values drive everything we do.
We like to listen to our staff; what they have to say is important and helps us to improve as their employer.
In our last Staff Survey, 77% of our staff rated the Stratford-on-Avon District Council as a Very Good or Good employer.
Our Investors in People assessor, who visited in November 2016, said "People spoke of the organisation as a good place to work, where there is a transparent and open working environment, and where people display a significant pride in the services that it provides."
