New Chair for Stratford-on-Avon District Council

Chair handover - May 2025

On Wednesday 14 May 2025, Stratford-on-Avon District Council held its Annual Council Meeting where Councillor Jenny Fradgley handed over the chain of office to Councillor Kate Rolfe.

During her term of office (May 2024 - May 2025) Councillor Jenny Fradgley (Stratford Guildhall and Bridgetown) nominated Citizens Advice, Air Ambulance Warwickshire and Parkinson's as her charities and raised a total of £3,000 to be split between them.

This time, Cllr Kate Rolfe (Stratford Tiddington) will be supporting a CIC, a community interest company during her term of office and has chosen Stratford's Eco Workshop CIC, who provide purposeful work activities for adults with learning disability and autism.

Her husband Mike will be her Consort during her term of office and Rev Dr Paul Edmondson will be her Chaplin.

Cllr Rolfe said of her appointment: "It is truly a huge honour to be elected to the role of Chair of the District Council. I am proud and excited to represent the District Council and look forward to visiting and accepting as many invitations as possible and promoting our wonderful District.  It is a responsibility I hold with gratitude and determination."
