Stratford-on-Avon District Council is holding a six-week public consultation on masterplan proposals for the Canal Quarter Regeneration Zone in Stratford-upon-Avon town.
The Council has prepared a draft Canal Quarter Regeneration Zone Framework Masterplan Supplementary Planning Document. This document provides additional guidance on the interpretation and implementation of Core Strategy Policies AS.1 and SUA.1.
The Supplementary Planning Document provides the framework for the regeneration and renewal of the built and natural environment of the Canal Quarter Regeneration Zone by creating an exemplar residential and mixed development, making the best use of up to date and visionary design guidance on place making to create a vibrant new urban quarter and enrich the wider Town.
The consultation runs from Thursday 1st February 2018 to 5pm on Friday 16 March.
Cllr Chris Saint, Leader of Stratford-on-Avon District Council says: "This is the opportunity for the public and stakeholders to make a contribution to the planning framework for the Canal Quarter and comments on the proposals will be more than welcome."

It is also available to inspect at the District Council offices - Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6HX and at Stratford-upon-Avon public library.
Copies of the consultation document may also be purchased from the Planning Policy Team.
The Council is also hosting two drop-in days when officers will be available to answer questions and provide information:
Venture House Business Centre, Avenue Farm Industrial Estate, Birmingham Road, Stratford-upon-Avon, CV37 0HR on Monday 19th February from 10am to 4pm.
Stratford District Council, Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, CV37 6HX on 7 March from 2pm to 7pm.

Comments are invited on any aspect of the Draft Supplementary Planning Document.

What happens next
The comments submitted during the consultation period will be assessed and the Supplementary Planning Document will be amended as appropriate prior to its adoption by the Council.
Comments must be received by the District Council by 5pm on Friday 16 March 2018.
