Steve Parry, GB swimmer and Olympic bronze medallist, will be the host of the Stratford-on-Avon District Sports Awards event. Parry won Britain's first Olympic swimming medal in eight years at the 2004 Athens Olympics in 200 metres butterfly.
The event, which is organised by Stratford-on-Avon District Council and supported by Everyone Active, will be held on Friday 18 January 2019 at the Stratford Playhouse. It aims to recognise the sporting excellence and commitment of individuals and teams and the hard work of coaches, teachers and volunteers.
The nomination period closes on Monday 3 December.

Steve Parry is an ambassador for Everyone Active's Sporting Champions scheme. The scheme was launched in 2016, with the aim of providing ongoing support for talented athletes across the UK. Through its work with local authorities across the country, Everyone Active has supported more than 500 athletes with over £1million worth of sponsorship over the past four years.
Everyone Active's Sporting Champions scheme aims to continue support for athletes by offering both monetary funding and access to Everyone Active's 150 leisure centres across the country.
