Residents, organisations and businesses are being asked for their views on Stratford District Council owned car parks in Stratford-upon-Avon town centre.

The District Council wants to hear a wide range of opinions on the car parking facilities and services offered and will run for six weeks.

This public consultation will provide valuable feedback to help us:

  • To improve the car parks and  user satisfaction
  • Look at future parking system options for Bridgeway Multi-Storey and Surface car parks

Cllr Mike Brain, Technical Services Portfolio says: “Car parking is important to many of us and often a topic of great debate. We are looking forward to hearing a wide range of views."

The survey is in two parts.

Part one - asks about recent user experiences:

  • Which Council car parks are used and by whom (residents, visitors, local businesses)
  • Gauge public opinion on the standards and ease of use of the car parks and views on what could be done to improve them
  • Which payment methods are used (including the new RingGo pay by phone option)

Part two – asks about views on future parking system options for Bridgeway Multi-Storey and Surface car parks - as the current pay on foot / pay on exit equipment as it has reached the end of its life.

The survey can be completed on line at www.stratford.gov.uk and go to the off-street parking page from the front page banner.

Paper copies are also available on request and can be collected from the Council offices in Stratford-upon-Avon.

All those who complete the survey will be entered into a prize draw to win £30 of shopping vouchers.

The closing date for completing the survey is Monday 17 August.
