Eco-town shortlist announced

Housing Minister, Caroline Flint, has announced the short list for the Government's ten eco-towns this morning, which includes the proposed development known as Middle Quinton in Warwickshire.

Stratford-on-Avon District Council's response to this announcement is:

"Stratford-on-Avon District Council hasn't adopted a formal position as yet.  
 
Now that the 'Middle Quinton' site has been shortlisted the Council is committed to working jointly with the other local authorities affected to consider the infrastructure impacts and requirements associated with the eco-town proposal. 

The District Council will participate fully in the consultation process which will now take place before the final schemes are chosen by government."
