STATEMENT OF ACCOUNTS 2020/21
The external audit of the statement of accounts for the year ended 31March 2021 has not yet been completed by our external auditors, EY LLP. The delayed audit notice , EY letter and Statement of Accounts UNAUDITED DRAFT (2020/21) are now available for download.
The Accounts and Audit (Amendment) Regulations 2021 require that the audited accounts and opinion are published by 30 September 2021. The external audit of the draft statement of accounts for the year ended 31 March 2021 has not yet been completed by our external auditors, EY LLP, due to the rescheduling of the audit. This situation is allowed for by Regulation 10, paragraph (2a) of the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015. (See attached link: http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2015/234/regulation/10/made). Therefore this notification explains, as per paragraph (2a), that we are not yet able to publish our audited 2020/21 final statement of accounts in line with the deadline of 30 September 2021, as per paragraph (1). The Audit & Standards Committee will consider the results of the 2020/21 audit at its meeting, date tbc, after which we will publish the final audited accounts.

Accounts available for inspection
Any local government elector, or his/her/their representative, may inspect the Council's accounts for the year ended 31 March 2021 at the Council Offices (address below), from Monday 25th April to Wednesday 8th June inclusive, between 10am and 2pm. Copies of the Accounts, together with any relevant documents, may be made.
It is noted that the Statement of Accounts is unaudited and that the Statement of Accounts as published may be subject to change.
Questions or Objections
The Appointed Auditor will not be available at the Council Offices this year. Any local government elector, or his/her/their representative, still has the opportunity to question, or object to them about the accounts for the year ended 31 March 2021.
